Sending big files fails

Hello,

I'm trying to send over files of 4+gb with cadaver, they keep failing
with:

Uploading file1 to `/file1': Could not open file: Value too large for
defined data type

The filesize of this file is 4.172.431.010 bytes.

I've applied the patch found in
http://lists.manyfish.co.uk/pipermail/cadaver/2008-August/000010.html
but this doesn't seem to help...

What else can I try?
