Underscore/Underbar in directory name

I hope this is something stupid but I'm logging in to a WebDAV server
location with cadaver and trying to "cd" to a directory called "FR_GOCAD"
and getting an error:

dav:/fileserver/paradigmcorporate/> cd FR_GOCAD
Could not access /fileserver/paradigmcorporate/FR%5fGOCAD/ (not
WebDAV-enabled?):
Did not find a collection resource.

If I remove the '_', I can "cd" to anything.  What am I missing?
