Could not authenticate to server: ignored NTLM challenge

I am trying to use cadaver to connect to a Sharepoint server (Windows Server 2003) from a HP-UX Itanium machine. I just installed Cadaver using the configure, make, make install procedure.

Cadaver is unable to connect to the Sharepoint server with the following message:
Could not authenticate to server: ignored NTLM challenge

This is my version of Cadaver:
cadaver 0.23.2
neon 0.28.0: Bundled build, IPv6, Expat.

This is the command line:
gobhud30:root:/usr/local/bin> ./cadaver http://sharepoint1/sites/ASCITDR/Shared%20Documents/UNIX/Test

I tried opening a new Word document on my sharepoint site and captured the following message:
Opening: 'http://sharepoint1/sites/ascitdr/Shared Documents/Forms/template.doc'

I tried using the "-t" flag with no effect. The only hits that I can find in a google search relate to neon. It looks like neon has NTLM support from what I read about the product.

Can anyone help with this problem?

Thank you,
Barry Goldstein
